The Sister Trust

elizabeth-morse-sister-trust-image.jpgThe sister trust of Elizabeth Morse Genius Charitable Trust is The Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust.  While both Trusts practice values-based grant making and have identical Values Statements and funding focus, there are important differences between the two Trusts, each of which supports different organizations:
 

  • The administrative offices of The Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust are at 208 S. LaSalle Street, Suite 1660, Chicago, Illinois 60604; the telephone number is 312-739-0326;
  • The individual Co-trustee of The Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust is James L. Alexander, and the corporate Co-trustee is JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.; and

Please note the following policies of both The Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust and the Elizabeth Morse Genius Charitable Trust:
 
  • Grant applicants are not permitted to submit proposals to both Trusts; grant applicants are permitted to submit proposals only to the Trust at which the grant applicant first made contact; first time applicants must select one of the two Trusts to submit its first application;
  • The Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust does not accept proposals from grant applicants that have previously submitted a proposal to the Elizabeth Morse Genius Charitable Trust, and, similarly, the Elizabeth Morse Genius Charitable Trust does not accept proposals from grant applicants that have previously submitted a proposal to The Elizabeth Morse Charitable Trust; and
  • The Trusts also do not accept joint applications to both Trusts, except upon specific invitation by both Trusts.
